Ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Group Deputy Chair Cahit Özkan used the incident as an opportunity to criticize the CHP, saying that the sculptures "humiliate the visual pleasure of the people."

According to Özkan, the sculptures need to be removed urgently because children and even adults are scared of them.
