Turkish citizens living in the coronavirus-infected Wuhan province of China will be transferred out of the city, Turkey's Beijing Ambassador Emin Önen said.
Önen noted that 32 Turkish citizens live in Wuhan and that none of them are infected with the virus that has killed 106, infected 6,000 and caused over 44 thousand people to come under quarantine.
"An ambulance plane from Turkey will transport our citizens back, accompanied by expert doctors," Önen said, adding that they're working with Chinese authorities.
The citizens will remain under a sort of quarantine until their health is confirmed, the ambassador said.
The embassy has reportedly gotten in touch with all 6,000 Turkish citizens in China and have even formed chat groups for communication.
