Flood death toll rises to two in Aegean İzmir
Night-long rains in Aegean İzmir caused heavy flooding and two people died as a result on Feb. 2. Excessive material damaging was also visible following the flood as numerous vehicles became stranded on the roads.
Flash rains in Aegean İzmir caused two deaths and extensive flooding in multiple districts on Feb. 2.
Public servants were given the day off work to manage the aftermath of the flood, as many homes and vehicles were damaged.
Night-long rainfall also caused roads to close down, leaving multiple vehicles stranded.
The city endured a devastating earthquake at the end of October 2020 and was also struck by five mid-sized quakes on Feb. 1.
