Intoxicated man falls asleep on transmission tower in western Turkey
A Turkish man reported to have been drinking climbed a transmission tower and fell asleep on the railings in the western province of Bursa, Demirören News Agency reported on Sep. 15. The man was woken up by police, climbed down on his own, and told law enforcement that he had no recollection of going up the tower.
Duvar English - A man alleged to have consumed alcohol climbed a transmission tower and fell asleep on the railings in the western province of Bursa, Demirören News Agency (DHA) reported on Sep. 15.
The man managed to reach about 10 meters in altitude, sat down on the railings and fell asleep shortly after, eyewitnesses said.
Locals of Bursa's İnegöl district noticed the man on the tower around 6 p.m. and called law enforcement to the scene.
Police arrived on the scene with health workers, tried to wake up the sleeping man by shouting at him for a while, and were finally successful.
