A Turkish prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into a photoshoot held in Ankara’s Kocatepe Mosque over “insulting religious values.” The photoshoot was targeted by Islamists and pro-government figures as they said the model wore an “inappropriate dress.”

Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on Aug. 14 launched an investigation into a photoshoot held in the capital Ankara’s Kocatepe Mosque over “"publicly insulting the religious values adopted by a section of the public.”
The move came after Islamist and pro-government figures targeted the photoshoot and its crew as they said the model wore a “revealing outfit” inside a mosque.
In a statement, the prosecutor’s office said the model woman was determined to be with the initials E.C. living in Ankara and that research is ongoing to determine the identity of the director of the photoshoot, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.
