As a result, the occupancy rate of the reservoirs has now reached its lowest level in the past 12 months, according to Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ).
This is also the lowest amount recorded for the same period since October 2014. At the same time last year, the occupancy rate was 45.9 percent.
While the highest occupancy rate was at Ömerli Dam with 57.36%, the rate dropped below 1% in Elmalı and Pabuçdere, and below 0.5% in Istırancalar and Kazandere dams. Except for Darlık Dam, the occupancy rates of reservoirs in other dams are below 10 percent.
