Kurds in Istanbul think İmamoğlu will win mayoral elections: Survey
According to a recent survey conducted by Rawest Research, 54.5% of the Kurdish respondents residing in Istanbul think that current mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu cannot win the local elections without the support of the HEDEP. On the other hand, 52.7% of them think that İmamoğlu will once again win the elections.

Rawest Research between Oct. 10-18 conducted a survey with Kurdish voters residing in Istanbul regarding the upcoming local elections to be held on March 31. The research group conducted face-to-face surveys with 1000 individuals from all 39 districts of Istanbul.
Which party did you vote for in the May 14 general elections?
Rawest's poll found that Kurdish respondents living in Istanbul voted most heavily for the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) with 44.4% of the votes. The HDP entered the elections under the name of Green Left Party (YSP) upon closure case. The YSP later became Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (HEDEP).
The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) came second with 26%, and the Republican People's Party (CHP) came third with 19%.

More than half of the respondents (54%) believe that the current CHP Mayor of Istanbul İmamoğlu should run again in the coming local elections. 33% of the respondents believe he should not run.

52.7% of the respondents said they believed Ekrem İmamoğlu could win in the coming local elections if he ran again. 34.7% of the respondents did not believe İmamoğlu could win the mayoral elections again.
