A man has deceived Turkish politicians by claiming that he is the president of East Turkestan and went as far as attending events with them, local media reported.
Duvar English - An Uyghur man has deceived numerous Turkish politicians by claiming that he is the president of East Turkestan.
Ajı Abuduwaili, who uses Abduvali Buğrahan Osman when introducing himself as the president, most recently attended an event held by the far-right Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) in Ankara's Gölbaşı district on Oct. 14 and addressed the audience using his self-proclaimed title.
Abuduwaili was also revealed to have visited Homeland Party leader Muharrem İnce in the southern province of Antalya, where they posed for pictures together.
Although the said two parties removed the pictures from their social media accounts, it was revealed that the so-called president was no stranger to spending time with Turkish politicians.
Several sources from East Turkestan who live in Turkey told news portal T24 that they had warned the MHP of Abuduwaili, but that the party didn't take their warnings into account.
Here, he is seen with MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli.
