A man trying to enter state-run news outlet Anadolu Agency's Ankara headquarters with an axe was detained by private security on site, and taken to the police station on Sept. 9.
Emre Öz arrived at the AA headquarters with an axe in the evening hours of Sept. 9 and made threats against the news outlet, the private security officers told police the next day.
'"I will burn Anadolu Agency down. I will cut down everyone inside and you won't be able to do anything about it," the axeman reportedly told the security officer.
AA's private security prevented Öz from entering the building, bringing the suspect to the ground and handcuffing him in the back.
The security officer who got into a brawl with the suspect made an official complaint on the grounds that he was injured on his knees, and his cell phone was damaged.
