Turkey blocks access to Rudaw's Turkish website
A Turkish court has blocked access to the Turkish website of Erbil-based news media group Rudaw. The ban was announced by Free Web Turkey, which tracks access bans in the country. Rudaw is based in Iraqi Kurdistan and broadcasts in multiple languages.

A Turkish court has blocked access to the Turkish website of Erbil-based news media group Rudaw.
An Oct. 6 ruling of a court in the northern province of Balıkesir ordered an access ban on the website without citing a reason.
The ban was announced by Free Web Turkey, which tracks access bans in the country.
Rudaw is based in Iraqi Kurdistan and broadcasts in multiple languages.
According to a report prepared by the Freedom of Expression Association, Turkey blocked 61,049 websites in 2019, bringing the total number to 408,494.
