In the survey, randomly selected 1000 participants aged 27-35 were asked how much they spend during their dates.
Accordingly, couples meet on average 10 times per month and watch a movie or a play and eat. The survey shows the average cost of a date is 350 liras ($18.65). This cost increases during special days like Valentine’s Day or on a birthday, anniversary.
This cost decreases to 250 liras for couples who have been dating for two years.
For December, the government-run Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) reported an annual inflation rate of 64.27, whereas the independent inflation group ENAG put the figure at 137.55%.
