Turkey’s western provinces İzmir, Aydın, Manisa, and Uşak recently battled with several forest fires.
The green mountains and plains of the Aegean have been covered in black smoke from fires since Aug. 13.
While the fires burned dozens of acres of forest, including fig and olive trees, they also changed the landscape's color.
İzmir
Almost the entire İzmir province was engulfed in smoke in the fire that broke out in Karşıyaka district. In addition to green areas, 16 houses burned down.
