Turkey is the nation that uses Twitter and Instagram the most, according to a mobile consumer survey by tech giant Deloitte. 46 percent of Turkish responders said that they feel the need to check their phones regularly.

Turkey is the nation that uses Twitter and Instagram the most, according to a mobile consumer survey by tech giant Deloitte.

"When you look at communication apps for mobile devices, Facebook, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram are used most, and Turkey is the #1 user for Twitter and Instagram," said Deloitte Turkey's executive Metin Aslantaş.

According to the survey, conducted in six continents with 44,150 people, women use Snapchat, Instagram and TikTok more than men, and men use Twitter and dating apps more.

With 55 percent using mobile devices to play games, Turkey ranked first worldwide in this category. The most popular games are puzzle games.

Altıntaş noted that 46 percent of Turkish responders said that they feel the need to check their phones regularly.

"32 percent say that they fail to interact with loved ones face-to-face when they're together," Altıntaş said.
