Stray dog touring Istanbul on public transportation becomes viral
A dog spotted on a tram in Istanbul on Aug. 19 became viral on Twitter as users compared notes and discovered that the dog was in fact a regular traveler on multiple vehicles across the city.
Duvar English - A dog spotted on a tram along Istanbul's European coast on Aug. 19 became viral on Twitter after users collectively discovered that the dog was in fact a regular traveler.
"We are in the Tophane tram stop, the guard couldn't get the dog out. He asked if anyone was bothered and said 'He's getting off on Kabataş anyways,' we're on our way now," wrote a user named Rihem. Later, the dog was seen transferring onto a ferry at Kabataş.
A user named Ezgi Ece chimed in and revealed that the dog had in fact been spotted on the Anatolian side shortly before, at the Maltepe stop of the Kadıköy-Kartal metro line.
Another user shared a photo from Aug. 11 where the dog was spotted on the Anatolian metro near Soğanlık, sitting properly among the passengers.
