Turkey experienced the second warmest spring in the last 53 years with an average of 14.2 degrees Celsius, according to the State Meteorological Service.

The spring of 2024 was the second warmest spring in the last 53 years in Turkey, according to the State Meteorological Service. April 2024 was also the hottest one in the last 53 years. 

2018 Spring has been still the hottest spring in the last 53 years with 15 degrees.

The average temperature was 14.2 degrees during the 2024 spring season (March, April, May), 1.8 degrees above the average temperature of the 1991-2020 spring seasons.

2024 spring season average maximum temperature was 28.6 degrees, 2.7 degrees above the 1991-2020 maximum temperature of 25.9 degrees. The average minimum temperature for the spring season in 2024 was 3.4 degrees, 2.2 degrees above the 1991-2020 minimum temperature of 1.2 degrees.

The average temperature for March was 9.2 degrees, which was 1.5 degrees above the normal for the period 1991-2020. In April, the average temperature was 16.6 degrees, marking an increase of 4.3 degrees Celsius compared to the normal. May saw an average temperature of 16.9 degrees, which was 0.2 degrees below the normal for the same period.
