Jan. 28 - An ISIS attack on the Church of Santa Maria during Sunday mass in Istanbul's Sarıyer district resulted in one death.
Jan. 30 - The Turkish Parliament read the Court of Cassation's decision to revoke the parliamentary status of Can Atalay, the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) representative from Hatay province. With the reading of the decision, Atalay's status was officially revoked, reducing TİP's number of representatives to three.
Feb. 2 - Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan was dismissed and replaced by Fatih Karahan.
Feb. 6 - An attack by Revolutionary People's Liberation Party/Front (DHKP-C) at Istanbul's Çağlayan Courthouse resulted in the deaths of attackers, as well as a civilian named Dilfiraz Karataş. Five others, including three police officers, were injured.
