Turkey has asked the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to detain and repatriate Turkish mafia boss Sedat Peker. Last year, Peker shared several videos on the alleged illegal acts of the ruling coalition politicians, especially Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu.

Turkey requested from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to detain and repatriate Turkish mafia boss Sedat Peker.
The Turkish Justice Ministry has sent the relevant notice to the UAE, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Feb. 23.
On Feb. 1, Interpol had issued a red notice search warrant for Peker in 194 countries.
Peker, who fled Turkey in early 2020, has so far released several videos on YouTube that are filled with bombshell allegations against Turkish government officials.
In June 2021, the mafia boss said that UAE officials warned him not to share videos due to high-security risks. Afterwards, Peker continued to make his sensational claims via Twitter instead. However, Peker has not tweeted since Nov. 24, 2021.
