Turkey's Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati and Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ conducted their meetings with the Justice and Development Party's (AKP) provincial organizations and deputy candidates within the ministry premises located in capital Ankara, according to reporting by daily BirGün.
While Nebati is the first-ranked deputy candidate of the ruling AKP in Mersin province, Bozdağ is running in Şanlıurfa province.
The opposition politicians have raised concerns over the ministers who are contesting in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The ministers in question have been criticized for not resigning from their posts, despite holding positions as appointed public servants.
On April 11, the AKP's Mersin Provincial Chair, parliamentary candidates, and some party executives attended the meeting at the Treasury Ministry. Minister Nebati posed with the AKP members under the ministry logo and posted the photo on his social media account.
