Turkish Olympic pistol shooter and Paris 2024 silver medalist Yusuf Dikeç has stormed the Internet for not wearing special equipment while shooting.

Yusuf Dikeç, a Turkish pistol shooter who won the silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, has gone viral on social media with his casual shooting style.
The team of Dikeç and Şevval İlayda Tarhan became the first medalists from Turkey in shooting.
Speaking to a Turkish radio outlet, Dikeç said the style was his own preference.
“While the whole world shoots with one eye, I shoot with two eyes (open). I have researched this a lot and found that it is better. Me shooting with my hand in my pocket has nothing to do with making a show. I am more motivated and feel more comfortable when I shoot like this,” he said.
