The team of Dikeç and Şevval İlayda Tarhan became the first medalists from Turkey in shooting.

Speaking to a Turkish radio outlet, Dikeç said the style was his own preference.

“While the whole world shoots with one eye, I shoot with two eyes (open). I have researched this a lot and found that it is better. Me shooting with my hand in my pocket has nothing to do with making a show. I am more motivated and feel more comfortable when I shoot like this,” he said.

On a different occasion, Dikeç said he was surprised for becoming insanely viral.

"I did not need special equipment. I'm a natural shooter," he also said.
