Police officers from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Unit on March 3 seized a computer from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's (İBB) media company as part of an ongoing investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation reportedly concerns companies that have won municipal tenders from Medya Inc. The confiscated computer was said to belong to the company’s accounting department.

Prosecutors confirmed the seizure, stating that “a search warrant was issued to obtain evidence as part of the ongoing investigation, and a computer used by an İBB employee at the workplace was seized accordingly.”

Officials emphasized that the investigation remains confidential, and no further details have been disclosed at this time.

At the same day, Istanbul's Beykoz District Mayor Alaattin Köseler was arrested along with municipality officials in a "bid-rigging" investigation.
