Turkish postal company introduces e-scooters for delivery services
The Turkish government-owned postal service held a ceremony on June 18 to introduce 100 electric scooters to be used in Istanbul for mail and delivery services.

Turkish Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu has announced that delivery workers of the Turkish Post and Telegraph Organization (PTT) will start to use electric scooters in Istanbul.
“As of today in Istanbul, PTT delivery employees will undertake their duties by using the environment-friendly transportation means electric scooter,” Karaismailoğlu announced on Twitter on June 18.

The minister also participated in a ceremony for the launch of the new implementation in Istanbul.
“Our PTT has been increasing the number of its environment-friendly implementations and presenting its sensitivity in this area with concrete examples. We believe that this implementation, which will start as a pilot work in Istanbul, will be welcomed with pleasure by our citizens and will expand to include our other provinces,” he said.
Initially, 100 e-scooters will be assigned for the project, with an aim to increase the number further in the future, the minister said.
