A Turkish court has released a taxi driver who was detained after pushing a passenger under a bus in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, Demirören News Agency reported on Dec. 5.
Cell phone footage showed the driver, identified only as Doğan P., pushing a female tourist under a bus after an argument on the fee.
As locals and drivers nearby rush to help the woman after falling, Doğan P. was seen leaving the scene.
The driver was then nabbed by police on charges of causing deliberate injury and his taxi driving license was canceled by the Istanbul Municipality.
The court, however, ruled to release the driver.
